More Ryrie on non-Lordship

In continuing this idea about Lordship salvation, it is to Ryrie’s credit that he quotes people who disagree with him. Again the Bible, against Ryrie, supports what this theologian below says:

‘The lordship view expressly states the necessity of acknowledging Christ as the Lord and Master of one’s life in the act of receiving Him as Savior. These are not two different, sequential acts (or successive steps), but rather one act of pure, trusting faith. It takes little theological acumen to discern the base differences between the lordship and nonlordship views of the presentation of the Gospel.’

‘Quan điểm quyền tể trị của Chúa trình bày rõ rành tính thiết yếu của việc công nhận Đấng Christ làm Chúa và Chủ của đời sống mình qua việc tiếp nhận Ngài làm Cứu Chúa mình. Đây không phải là hai hành động khác nhau, kế tiếp nhau (hay là những bước liên tiếp nhau), nhưng trái lại là một hành động của đức tin thuần túy và phó thác.
