Nhưng mạng lệnh phải môn đồ hóa muôn dân chưa từng là ý nghĩ phụ thêm vào sau đó bao giờ. Đó là kế hoạch ngay từ lúc Đức Chúa Trời chọn dân Y-sơ-ra-ên. Đức Chúa Trời phán cùng Áp-ram rằng: “các chi tộc nơi thế gian sẽ nhờ ngươi mà được phước” (Sáng thế ký 12:3).
Sau đó, sứ đồ Phao-lô đã thêm ý nghĩ nầy vào Phúc Âm về sự xưng công bình bởi đức tin nơi Đấng Christ: “Kinh thánh cũng biết trước rằng Đức Chúa Trời sẽ xưng dân ngoại là công bình bởi đức tin, nên đã rao truyền trước cho Áp-ra-ham tin lành nầy: Các dân sẽ nhờ ngươi mà được phước” (Ga-la-ti 3:8). Như vậy, Đức Chúa Trời đã muốn Phúc Âm của Đấng Christ vươn đến mọi dân tộc từ lúc Ngài chọn Áp-ram khoảng 2000 năm trước khi Đấng Christ đến thế gian.
Vậy, tại sao phải có sự chậm trễ quá lâu đến như vậy, từ trước khi Đấng Christ đến cho đến lúc Đại mạng lệnh được ban ra nhân danh Ngài?

“In the New Testament we are told, ‘He who has ears, let him hear.’ If the Bible urges us to use our ears, they must be important. Think of the frequent prophetic summons: ‘Hear the word of the Lord’ (e.g., Jeremiah 2:4). Go all the way back to the foundation of Israel’s faith: ‘Hear, O Israel’ (Deuteronomy 6:4). At least 394 times the Old Testament refers to the word of God coming to us.
“Why does this matter? Malcolm Muggeridge framed the question in his typically delightful way some years ago in his London Lectures in Contemporary Christianity. What is, instead of the Dead Sea Scrolls, we’d found the Dead Sea Videotapes? Would the difference matter? Would it matter if Biblical faith had been handed down to us in images rather than in words? Does the camera make the same impact as the pen? And Muggeridge argued that the camera deceives us. It makes us think we are seeing reality. But television, especially, brainwashes us with carefully edited fantasies. God encounters us meaningfully through words—words that illuminate, words that last, words that undeceive our confusion.”

Deuteronomy 7:6–8 “For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. Deuteronomy 9:6 “Know, therefore, that the LORD your God is not giving you this good land to possess because of your righteousness, for you are a stubborn people.”

Reformed Churches in Vietnam–a prayer request
Please pray that the Lord Jesus Christ build his church in Vietnam, planting churches that say “yes” and “amen” to his sovereign plan. May he grant to this country a church that delights in all that God is, like we find in Isa 46:8-10:
“Remember this and stand firm, recall it to mind, you transgressors, remember the former things of old; for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning and from ancient times things not yet done, saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, and I will accomplish all my purpose….'” (ESV)

WHOM THE SON CHOOSES
Luke 10:22 “All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is except the Father, or who the Father is except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.”

Hãy suy nghĩ về điều nầy. Đức Chúa Trời của cả cõi vũ trụ đã bày tỏ sự mặc khải đặc biệt và công tác cứu rỗi của Ngài cho một dân tộc rất ít người, dân tộc Y-sơ-ra-ên, trong vòng 2000 năm – từ khi Áp-ram được kêu gọi trong Sáng thế ký 12 cho đến khi Đấng Christ đến. Trong suốt khoảng thời gian đó, “Ngài để cho mọi dân theo đường riêng mình” (Công vụ 14:16).

Khi Chúa Jêsus đang sắp sửa về trời, Ngài phán rằng: “người ta sẽ nhân [danh Ngài] mà rao giảng cho dân các nước sự ăn năn để được tha tội” (Lu-ca 24:47). “Vậy, hãy đi dạy dỗ muôn dân” (Ma-thi-ơ 28:19). Đây là thời điểm mấu chốt thay đổi lịch sử toàn thế giới.

WHO GIVES FAITH?
Romans 12:3 “For by the grace given to me I say to everyone among you not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think with sober judgment, each according to the measure of faith that God has assigned.”
Vậy, nhờ ơn đã ban cho tôi, tôi nói với mỗi người trong anh em chớ có tư tưởng cao quá lẽ, nhưng phải có tâm tình tầm thường, y theo lượng đức tin mà Ðức Chúa Trời đã phú cho từng người.
CHOSEN ĐƯỢC LỰA CHỌN
1 Peter 2:9 “But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for his own possession, that you may proclaim the excellencies of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.”
Nhưng anh em là dòng giống được lựa chọn, là chức thầy tế lễ nhà vua, là dân thánh là dân thuộc về Ðức Chúa Trời, hầu cho anh em rao giảng nhơn đức của Ðấng đã gọi anh em ra khỏi nơi tối tăm, đến nơi sáng láng lạ lùng của Ngài;
DENY ELECTION? A VERY BAD SIGN
